Recovery Team Outreach Worker

An outreach worker is a member of the recovery team who seeks to develop a trusting, mentor-like connection with youth and families in the community with substance use needs. The outreach worker will work directly with youth and families in their communities to enhance their motivation to change, sustain goals made in substance use treatment and/or to connect them to needed services and supports. The outreach worker is a resource to youth and families and can be called at any time to illicit support.

Schedule:

Flexible to accommodate the schedule of youth, families and community meetings.
Evening and weekend hours will be required based on needs of youth and families.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

Qualifications: Knowledge and experience working with adolescents. Knowledge of problems and needs of youth with substance use, recovery, behavioral health issues, and community resources. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
