Our Friends

The Probus Club supports us in so many ways!  They have provided duffle bags, Bombas socks, and all sorts of donations.  Pictured are Children’s Center CEO, Selma Ward receiving blankets from Les Faiman, Probus Club as part of their Warm Wishes program. We are especially grateful for the picnic they hosted for some of the children and their participation in our Halloween festivities!

Dominic Schioppo, Jr., President and The Friends of Jimmy Miller generously donate an annual gift that supports vocational opportunities

Girl Scout Troop 60134 collected Legos to donate to The Center. The troop earned their Bronze Award and an ice cream celebration!

Sororities Kappa Delta (Quinnipiac University) and Alpha Kappa Alpha extend their philanthropy to The Children’s Center with both time and money.  Kappa Delta raises funds annually that have been used to help remodel a kitchen, create a recording studio and purchase a green house, gazebo and picnic tables. Both sororities volunteer at Center events.

Realtor Diane Poplizio organizes gift giving at the Holidays

The Hamden Womans Club and it’s individual members have involved the women who reside at Casa Rios Group Home with their projects and are generous donors to The Center

The Bauer Law Group arrived with a special delivery of 140 pillows and now collect duffle bags for the children to pack their belongings

Burzenski and Company has helped organize our vault of historical documents, painted, hosted a scavenger hunt and treated the children to an ice cream truck…twice!

The Liberty Bank is always available to lend a hand…and a flip flop! (in all sizes and colors!) The Liberty Bank Foundation’s annual gift helps support food expenses.

Hamden Rotary Club funds have made it possible for the Center to purchase memberships at the YMCA and clothing for an Intergenerational volunteer program…because our youth enjoy wearing special clothing when visiting elderly neighbors in the community. The Rotary has also donated masks for Center essential employees to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
