The Finance Director is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and analysis of financial information including monthly financial statements, quarterly reports, single-cost reporting, and the annual audit. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Business Office Staff, as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
Days off and schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Requirements: BS degree in Accounting. CPA and/or MBA a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ of progressive experience. Non-profit industry experience is highly preferred.
Qualifications: Strong understanding of medical insurance billing and collections with emphasis on Medicaid and commercial insurers. Excellent sense of time management and observance of deadlines. Expertise in MS Office, Fund Accounting Software (MIP a plus), in house payroll (Ultipro a plus), and electronic medical record systems (Care Logic a plus). Familiar with Departments of Children, Development Services, and Social Service funding / reporting. Superior communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Self-initiative and strong work ethic. Personal quality of integrity, credibility, and high ethical standards. Ability to work both independently (autonomously), as well as part of a team and an organization of diverse personalities and cultures.
