The psychiatrist is responsible for providing consultation to the treatment teams at The Children’s Center of Hamden. This physician provides psychiatric services to those children identified by Program Directors and/or Clinical Supervisors. The psychiatrist is responsible to the assigned department Administrator.
Schedule:
10-15 hours per week
Skills:
Strong diagnostic, clinical and supervisory skills, understanding of the dynamics of our special needs population and their families and ability to work effectively with them.
Education:
M.D., completion of psychiatric residency. Licensed Child/Adolescence Psychiatrist preferred. If not licensed as a Child/Adolescence Psychiatrist the consultant will have a minimum of 3 years experience working with a pediatric population.
