The Recovery Team provides outreach, substance use specific case-management, referrals, and wrap around services to teens who are 13-19 years old. The Alternative Peer Group, also known as “Peace & Chill Crew”, got its unique name from the teenagers who attend. Peace & Chill Crew is a substance free space for teenagers to be teenagers. There is a fun schedule of events planned for each week. SMART Recovery meetings are still ongoing and remain FREE for youth! Meetings are held each Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. through video conferencing for ages 13-19 to help individuals abstain from addictive behaviors. Outpatient counseling sessions for youth ages 3-18 can be scheduled by calling Victoria Giordano at (203) 248-2116 Ext. 341 or . Individual, family and group therapies are available, as is medication management. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets for 3 hours after school and provides transportation. A specialized team works with teens who need help trying to reduce or abstain from substances. The team will even come to you! ...
