The Research and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the development, collection, input, analysis, and dissemination of research at The Children’s Center of Hamden. The position involves many aspects of research from input on development of data collection tools, implementation of research projects and completion of research projects. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.



  • Experience in the field of research.
  • Ability to create systems of evaluation for treatment programs.
  • Ability to interpret data and work as a team member in identifying goals and objectives for program improvement.
  • Ability to create systems to track progress for individuals in treatment.
  • Working knowledge of SPSS
  • Knowledge of youth work in mental health treatment.
  • Ability to work effectively with youth and adults.
  • Ability to write at a professional level.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.



  • BA/BS in Human Service field required.
  • Master’s in the field of Research or Human Services preferred.


Previous Experience and/or training:

Experience in conducting surveys or interviewing youth and adults. Computer experience regarding multiple programs, preferably statistical analysis. One to two years of experience working in a treatment setting for youth.
