WAKEMAN HALL OUTPATIENT

This program provides substance abuse treatment to teenagers and their families who may be referred by parents, schools, and probation officers. Individual, group and family therapies are available and the frequency of participation in each is prescribed following an evaluation. A case manager provides outreach and community-based services to help clients incorporate the changes they are making in therapy into their daily lives.

All guardians are expected to create, with us, crisis plans to ensure safety at all times.

The typical youth enrolled in the Wakeman Hall Program is a poly-substance abuser, with an average age of 16. The substance abuse problem is often accompanied by emotional issues such as depression/anxiety, school difficulties, poor self-esteem and family issues.

Sliding fee and treatment scholarships are available through a grant awarded by the Department of Children and Families, State of Connecticut.   This service also accepts payment from insurance companies and managed care organizations.
