The Program Director will be responsible for the clinical supervision and general case management within the context of a treatment team for children and families served by The Children’s Center of Hamden.

This is a full time position. The schedule is Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 p.m. with one mandatory evening per week.

Skills:

Good verbal and written communication skills, bi-lingual preferred. Good supervisory and organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to multi-task and work in collaboration with a treatment team. Working knowledge of DSM IV/DSM V ability to engage clients in a therapeutic relationship in individual, family and group modalities of treatment. Ability to design and implement therapeutic interventions to promote positive change. Knowledge of child development. Ability to work well independently. Valid driver’s license required.

Education:

LCSW, LMFT, LPC; Must be licensed in social services or related field.

Previous Experience and/or Training:

Two years experience in child/adolescent behavioral health. Experience coordinating treatment teams that extend into the community is required.
