Christmas Stars

Help make the holidays a special time for needy children! BECOME A "STAR".

Each Christmas, friends of The Children's Center of Hamden generously support our appeal to help make the Holiday Season brighter for the children in our care. The response is heartening from individuals, businesses, clubs, churches and other organizations in the community. The Unitas Club of Hamden, Sears of Meriden and the Hamden Rotary Club are especially generous during the Christmas Stars Program.

How it works

The "Stars" are encouraged to send a contribution to The Children's Center of Hamden. The children and staff prepare a "wish list" of gifts and activities for the holidays. Our staff will take care of the purchases* and planning.

Our goal is to raise funds to provide a happy holiday for all of our children that will last well beyond the season. For many of the children, gifts through Christmas Stars may represent the only presents they receive at this special and emotional time of the year.

*Although monetary donations make it easier for the staff to purchase the perfect gift, If you would like to purchase gifts for a child yourself from their wish list we will certainly accommodate you.
