The Outpatient Department provides mental health and substance use treatment for children and teens. Treatment includes individual, family and group therapy in the office and in the Greater New Haven community. The program has a contract with DCF to provide evidenced-based substance use treatment. Clinicians will be required to participate in a mandatory training and audio record all sessions with youth and families.  Recordings will be rated by model developers as part of the certification process.  Clinicians will be required to obtain partial certification within 6 months of training and full certification within 12 months of training to maintain their employment. 

Days off and schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 6 p.m. with flexibility in the evenings to accommodate appointments with youth, families and community supports.

Requirements:  Master’s Degree in clinical field with licensure required (e.g. LCSW, LMFT). Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred. Valid CT driver’s license.


Experience: Experience working with youth, adolescents and families required, experience providing substance abuse and/or mental health treatment preferred.


Qualifications: Strength based approach, ability to work independently, able to create a network of supports for youth, strong organizational skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
