The Children's Center of Hamden, Inc. is pleased to provide outpatient mental
health services to children and youth ages 3-17 who are residing in the
community. The Outpatient Clinic offers services by appointment and includes
telephone screening, assessment, family therapy, individual therapy, client
education, case management, referral and advocacy. A psychiatrist directs care
and is available for purposes of medication management and evaluation.
Parenting Classes are offered in Hamden and Meriden for parents of difficult adolescents. The Parent Project Curriculum is used and addresses family conflict, school performance, alcohol/drug use, problems with peers, and limit setting. Tuition is free due to scholarship funding. All guardians are expected to create, with us, crisis plans to ensure safety at
all times.
